2026 HEAD DOWN FOLLOW THROUGH TROPHY
Congratulations to Reece Almond for winning the 2026 Head Down Follow Through Trophy at Driffield Golf Club on Sunday 12th April.
Reece secured his first trophy at Heppy’s with an outstanding performance, finishing on 42 points. He made a remarkable start (barring the first couple of holes), recording an impressive 25 points on the front nine, including three consecutive 4-point scores on holes 3, 4, and 5 (par, par, birdie).
The day’s conditions proved highly variable, ranging from strong winds and heavy rain to hail, before briefly clearing to sunshine for the last few holes. Despite these challenging and changing conditions, Reece delivered a consistently strong performance, culminating in his excellent total points score. He receives the first ever 8 points towards this years Garby Clark Trophy.
2026 GRIP IT & RIP IT CUP
Get your money in to secure your place for the Grip It & Rip It Cup on the 10th of May! This year it will be played at Cottingham GC - always a very popular venue.
2025 GARBY CLARK TROPHY
Congratulations to Jonny Battams who has won the 2025 Garby Clark Trophy and claimed the first ever Heppy's Green Jacket! Jonny played consistently well through all 5 of the Heppy's events, with an average score of nearly 37 per round, he totaled 147 points from his best 4 of 5 rounds to secure the win by 2 points. He even played the Cottingham round on his daughters 4th Birthday which shows the dedication needed to become part of the Heppy's elite... (Had the party on the Saturday instead). Adam Clukey finished in second with 145 points from just 4 events, a very impressive score. Would he have taken the win had he played the final round? We'll never know. Third place went to Neil Clarkson with 140. Well played Adam and Neil for running Jonny close.
2025 LET THE BIG DOG EAT TROPHY
Congratulations to Wayne Warren who won this years Curly Cup with an impressive 38 points at a very tricky Doncaster Golf Club. The highlights of Wayne's round included 4 3 pointers in a row through holes 4 to 7. He had 2 nearest the pins on the par 3's and overall played the 4 par 3's in 1 over par to help secure the win. What will Wayne be capable of next year if his back holds up?! Second place went to Graham Smith who also shot 38 points, however, he lost in a countback... unlucky Graham. Third went to a newcomer, Rob Lockwood, who shot 37 points from a 4 handicap. Well played to both Graham & Rob.
